Volunteered Free Workshop for Kids of UPAAY, Karol Bagh Center on Children’s Day

Celebrating Children’s Day (14 November, 2019) with the kids of UPAAY Sanstha, Karol Bagh Center.

Recently, the team of creative artists of Indian Hobby Ideas Trust and a few other similar non-profit organisations, has came together to celebrate the day of 14 November, 2019, that is, Children’s Day with the students of Upaay Sanstha, Karol Bagh Centre, which was organised in the Shiv Mandir of Beadonpura, Karolbagh.

This was a non-profitable workshop for those kids who are economically-backward, and thus school, education, and money-deprived, which often leads to  the deprivation of dreams, hope, and creativity as well in these children.

Our motive was not just to celebrate Children’s Day with them, but to make them believe in their creative capacities, and never stop dreaming. The workshop began after a small speech on significance of November 14 and why it is remembered as Children’s Day, by Ms. Neha Juneja, founder of Neha Kala Lok Creatives Trust.

The kids were excited, joyous, and eager to learn whatever the teachers were telling them—from significance of the day to how to make a creative folder through the waste paper and material. Thus, it was clear that, it’s not these kids who are poor, but us, who cannot give them what they deserve—a playful and normal childhood, proper education, and dreams- to be whatever they want to be.
